i-access®Restricted access for healthcare professionals regarding the i-access risk management program.

THALOMID® (thalidomide) is a known teratogen and REVLIMID® (lenalidomide) is a structural analogue of THALOMID. If THALOMID or REVLIMID are taken during pregnancy, they may cause foetal birth defects or death.
To avoid foetal exposure, THALOMID and REVLIMID are only available under a special distribution program called i-access.
The i-access program helps to ensure that:
- Use and distribution of THALOMID and REVLIMID are closely monitored and well controlled
- Only prescribers registered with i-access can prescribe THALOMID or REVLIMID
- Patients must enrol in the i-access program to receive THALOMID or REVLIMID
- Only pharmacies registered with i-access can dispense THALOMID or REVLIMID
- Patients are fully informed about their treatment
- Patients take all necessary steps to avoid foetal exposure to THALOMID and REVLIMID
- Prescribers inform patients about the likely benefits and potential risks of THALOMID and REVLIMID therapy, and properly explain how potential risks can be avoided or minimised
- Patients formally agree to fully comply with the requirements of the i-access program, by signing an i-access Patient Consent Form
